We had a fabulous trip to WI, but we really tired the kids out. Here is Charlie after we got back to the house:
We went to several parks near the lakes followed by lunch at Lazy Janes on Wili Street. We picked (and ate) currents from the yard to later turn into jam. They weighed in at 7lbs! We rounded out the day with a visit to the Fete de Marquette to hear some music and ride the Ferris Wheel.
The next day we went to the Madison Children's Museum which features a kid size hampster wheel, a wall you can pain on, and some baby chickens on the roof deck. It was nice to see the hustle and bustle near the capital building with Art on the Square in progress. We had a great lunch at the Great Dane.
The kids were great travelers and a good time was had by all. We are all recharged to go back to work/school tomorrow. Charlie moves up to the toddler room this week when he officially turns 18 months, so we need to get prepared for him to sleep on a cot and eat at a table! Stay tuned to see how it goes.
